According to a Fulton County notice of foreclosure posted Wednesday, Truist Bank will auction off the mansion on March 7 at the Fulton County Courthouse.
The posting of an auction notice is only one step in the foreclosure process — which in many cases can be stopped along the way — and it doesn’t always mean that an auction will result. Truist Bank had the authority to “negotiate, amend or modify all terms of the loan,” the public notice said. This isn’t the first time the home has been teetering toward foreclosure. In February 2023, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and the former NFL player’s home was placed in foreclosure. "She's showing off her house for a reason right now," the source says.

According to the notice of foreclosure, as seen by ET, the foreclosure stems from Zolciak-Biermann and her husband, Kroy, defaulting on the $1.65 million loan they took out to buy the home on Oct. 23, 2012. Kim Zolciak Biermann took her followers on a wild Instagram Stories tour of her Georgia mansion, which nearly went on the auction block after a foreclosure notice was issued in February. According to new legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, lawyers for the pair’s bank lender, Truist, are giving them until May 3 to go back to court. If not, they could be served with a foreclosure, according to the documents, which were filed on April 23. An attorney listed on the foreclosure notice did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
The sisters told the outlet that they had stayed at the Alpharetta estate the night before, and that all the furniture was still there. The couple had taken out a $1.65 million loan on the home in 2012 shortly after purchasing it, according to the notice. In fact, another Bravo star, Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice, did just that when her Montville Township home was in foreclosure. "Typically owners have until the business day before [the auction] to redeem the default amount and halt the foreclosure," Brock Harris of the VOYAGE Real Estate team at Compass tells PEOPLE.
